O duo eminente de produtores Holandeses que cativaram amantes da EDM no mundo inteiro com o seu som fascinante. Marcando o seu território como um dos nomes mais eletrizantes na indústria de hoje, tocaram no Mother Festival e Tomorrowland e, alcançaram quase 1 milhão de plays no Spotify com o seu remix de Orjan Nilsen’s ‘’Apart’’.
Em pouco tempo, este duo demonstrou o seu talento espantoso através de lançamentos de qualidade em um dos labels mais proeminentes, como: Spinnin’, Protocol, Revealed e Armada.

Como vocês se conheceram e tiveram a ideia de criar o projeto “Volt & State”?
Nos conhecemos através do Laidback Luke. Martin (Volt) fez uma remix para uma track minha (State), na qual gostei muito. Naturalmente fizemos outras colaborações e, finalmente, criamos Volt & State.
Quais foram suas inspirações no momento em que começaram a produzir? Hoje, elas ainda são as mesmas?
Foi e continua sendo o pessoal da Suécia. Axwell, Ingrosso, Steve Angello e Alesso.
Novos talentos estão surgindo cada vez mais na cena, assim como Manse. Como foi trabalhar com ele em “Falling Down”?
Manse é uma grande pessoa e muito talentoso. Nos divertimos muito criando essa música juntos e foi divertido, pois nós festejamos muito com ele 🙂
Uma de suas músicas mais famosas é “Warriors”, em parceria com Nicky Romero. A letra, criada por vocês, tem alguma inspiração em especial?
Nós trabalhamos sobre as melodias e harmonias da letra. Isso significa que todos temos nossos desafios, mas que ao mesmo tempo podem ser resolvidos juntos.
Vocês tem planos para o futuro? Pensam em lançar um álbum?
Um sonho seria fazer um álbum! Seria incrível olhar para trás daqui 20/30 anos e poder dizer, sim, nós fizemos isso! Mas, por enquanto, é difícil fazer um álbum, pois tudo fica velho após duas semanas, mas vamos ver!
Vamos falar sobre o Tomorrowland Brasil. Vocês foram confirmados na lineup da edição deste ano. O que podemos esperar do set de vocês? Estão ansiosos?
Com certeza! Vamos tocar um monte de tracks novas e testar algumas pela primeira vez! Este ano vamos tentar um material diferente, o que é um pouco assustador, mas também emocionante!
Todo DJ tem um sonho, certo? Qual é o de vocês?
Tocar no palco principal do Tomorrowland Brasil.. ops, calma! Uma parceria com Martin Garrix também!
O que vocês acham sobre o futuro da música eletrônica no Brasil?
Nós nunca estivemos no Brasil, por isso vai ser uma aventura. É difícil dizer isso, eu acho que se você olhar globalmente, a América do Sul está em um momento absolutamente fantástico e com um grande fluxo de música eletrônica. Achamos que irá evoluir e expandir ainda mais.

How did you both meet each other? How did you guys have the idea to create “Volt & State”?
We met through Laidback Luke his forum. Martin did a remix for a track of Quentin which Quentin liked a lot. It naturally progressed into more collaborations and finally towards creating Volt & State
Who was your inspiration when you started producing? Now, they are still the same?
It was and still is the guys from Sweden. Axwell, Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Alesso.
Recently, a lot of new talents are emerging, and one of them is Manse. How it was to work with him on “Falling Down”?
Manse is a great guy and talent! We had a lot of fun creating that track together and it’s fun because we party hard with him 🙂
The track “Warriors” is one of the biggest hits made by you, in partnership with Nicky Romero. The lyrics, made by you, have any special inspiration?
We worked on the melodies and harmonies of the lyrics. It means that everyone has their struggles, but together we all can solve all our problems.
What are your plans for the future? Do you guys think about release an album?
A dream would be to do an album! It would be amazing to look back to all of this in 20/30 years and be able to say, yeah that’s what we did back in the day! But for now, it’s hard to do an album because everything that’s out for more than two weeks is old news, but we’ll see!
Now, let’s talk about Tomorrowland Brazil! You’ve been confirmed on the line up of this year’s edition. What can we expect from your set? Are you both excited?
For sure! We will play a lot of new tracks and test out tracks for the first time! This year we are going to try a bit more different material, which is a bit scary but also exciting!
Every DJ has a dream, right? What’s yours?
To play the MainStage at Tomorrowland Brazil, oh wait! 😉 Also it’s a dream to work with Martin Garrix.
What do you think about the future of electronic music in Brazil?
We have never been to Brazil, so it’s going to be an adventure. It’s hard to say tho, I think if you look globally South America is doing absolutely fantastic at the moment and with the current flow of Electronic Music I think it will evolve and expand even more.
